《ラースの猿人/Apes of Rath》に秘められたダジャレのうち、分かりやすいところではまずその名前だ。「Grapes of Wrath」(註1)と聞き間違えてしまいそうだが、実際は「Grape」ではなく「Ape」だ。「Rath」の地に生息する「Ape」だ。さらにフレイバーテキストにも1つある。「Monkey see, monkey do」(註2)ではなくて「Monkeys three, Monkeys through」(註3)なのだ。

邦題「怒りの葡萄」。ジョン・スタインベックの小説で映画化もされている。

見た動作をそのまま真似する猿の習性を指す言い回し。猿真似。
